This unique research and storytelling project is an intentional series of interwoven documentary film pieces focused on highlighting the unique intersectional forces surrounding workforce development specific to the Battle Creek Community.
In order to understand the ways in which individuals of varying identities experience limitations in workforce development and career growth, we must first examine an appropriate diversity of these experiences.
Equally as important to the documentation of these intersectional forces is the broad and intentional communication of these stories to the Battle Creek community and beyond.
By presenting these pieces to the broader community we will encourage an examination of the Battle Creek workforce development ecosystem – fostering a deeper understanding of the ways identity plays a role in staining career growth, and the solutions necessary to address inequity.
